Our Story
I came up with Hockey Heals 22 in 2012. I always loved an event in Buffalo called the 11 Day Powerplay, which is an 11 day hockey game benefiting cancer research.
Around that same time, studies began coming out regarding an increase in Veteran suicide and I thought Hockey Heals 22 would be a great way to raise awareness to that issue.
Our Mission
At Hockey Heals 22, our mission is to raise awareness toward the suicide epidemic currently facing our Veterans. When we started this event, there were 22 Veteran suicides on average per day and our goal is to get that number to zero.
This website will offer videos from some friends of the program, as well as online auctions. Every penny raised will go to non profits who share our dedication to serving our nations Veterans.
